Inside coolidge park you will find a wide field for plenty of room, and long track touring around the park, and many places to sit and relax. There are two great features of the park that kids often enjoy. First is the Carousel, which is over 100 years old. It has been restored and is a Chattanooga attraction in itself. Second is the animal statue water fountain, or as many call it The Fountain. It features a large fountain in the middle and smaller fountains around the center. Many kids play in it, and it can be refreshing on those hot Chattanooga summer days.
It is named in honor of Chattanoogan Charles H. Coolidge, a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor for Bravery shown during WWII.
